A high-capacity wireless network linking a hotel chain in an area without fibre
Fibre-grade connectivity, without fibre
A chain of five hotels was linked through high-capacity microwave links, then internet was distributed inside each hotel at high, balanced speeds, in an area not reached by fibre, giving guests and management connectivity at the level of leading hotels.
Systems delivered
- Microwave links. High-capacity point-to-point wireless links with line of sight connecting the hotels to one another.
- A fibre alternative. An integrated connectivity solution for areas not served by fibre, with comparable quality and reliability.
- Internet distribution. A Core / Distribution / Access switching design distributing internet inside each hotel at high speeds.
- Guest Wi-Fi. Access points with full coverage of rooms and facilities and seamless roaming between them.
- Load balancing. Balanced capacity across hotels and quality of service (QoS) keeping speeds comparable in every hotel.
- Segregation and security. Guest networks separated from management and systems networks, with firewalls and central management.
